The Director-General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) organization is a regulating organization that regulates, promotes, and manages foreign trade. It is a branch of the Ministry of commerce and trade. Its objective is to increase the export of our country. It can promote and control the import/export according to country interest. DFGT had its headquarters in New Delhi.

How to check License Status
To check the License Status of DGFT you must have the license number and IEC and your license number should have only 10 digits and IEC is alphanumeric here we provide steps to check the License Status that is given below.

Enter name of Importer/Expoter.
Enter IEC number.
Type of email ID and Mobile number.
Enter commodity and relevant ministry/department/Agency.
Type the name of port in which you want to import/export your commodity.
Describe the issue you are facing due to CORONA Virus in maximum 500 words.
Enter name of sender.
Click on submit button.
Link your IEC
IEC number is the same as the PAN of the firm. The IEC would be separately issued by DGFT. To link your IEC you must have an IEC number. IEC linking is used to avoid delays in services. Septs to link your IEC are given below.
First register on DGFT website using valid email ID and mobile number.
To register click on link https://www.dgft.gov.in/CP/# and enter your detail by clicking applly online.
Then login to DGFT website home page.
Click on Link IEC button displayed on homepage.
Enter your IEC by authenticating through Aadhaar based OTP or Digital Signature.
Click on LOgin to proceed to link your IEC.
Now you are successfully linked to IEC.
Verification of UDIN
Unique document identification number UDIN is a unique number to ensure the document is no misrepresent by someone and is verified by a charted accountant. It is noticed that some people used forged signatures and present other misleading documents to the authorities so UDIN is introduced to stop these practices.
